The Great Pumpkin Patch

Last Friday MJ and I both took the day off, him from daycare and me from work to spend the day with one of my very best friends who was in town from North Carolina. Tiffany came over first thing in the morning for breakfast, then off to the pumpkin patch we went.

Madden loved terrorizing chasing the roosters/chickens that ran around the farm.
He loves watching all the other animals but doesn't want to get anywhere near the goats, I think their use to getting fed they try to practically attach anyone who comes their way and that's a bit too much for him. I don't blame him. He got so gitty to see the baby cows, giant bunnies and freshly born piglets!!

Since we went on a Friday morning there wasn't a crowd at all which was so nice. We didn't have to wait long for the hayride up to the patch and it turned out only one other family of 5 went with. We had the entire patch by ourselves to find and pick the perfect pumpkin.

After we filled up in hot apple cider and delicious caramel covered apples (for our lunch!) we went home and took a family nap, meaning everyone!
Madden loved to cuddle and watch part of a movie (usually Monsters University) before bed so of course now during the weekends he tries to start doing that for naps too. Tiff of course couldn't pass up a good snuggle sessions and both dogs just had to join them.

After nap time and once Dave got home we took off to the mall for Trick or Treat at the mall. Followed by a family dinner at the Filling Station, Whitey's ice cream and then MJ wrangled Tiffany and me into our big bed to cuddle and watch Monsters once again before a late bedtime!

The John Deere Pavilion had a kids craft day.
We got to look at all types of tractors and combines. Madden loved them! Especially since we could climb up in half of them to "drive" and play in.

He kept yelling "Tractor mommy, tractor!"

He even got to pick out his own little pumpkin to decorate with a silly pumpkin sticker face to take home for free.
His pumpkin face masterpiece!
His favorite was the rider lawnmower which MJ called "papa's tractor"

Turning into a great Maid Service

And dressing up in Tutu's!

We still have the pumpkin patch and Halloween events to come!!
