St Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Over the weekend we went downtown to watch the St. Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday. It was great weather and thankfully the rain held out to the very end! 

Madden was super into the parade this year, at least for the candy. I told him before it started that he had to make sure to wave at all the floats and people walking so they see him. When the beginning of the parade started with the presentation of the flags accompanied by the military, I told him to stand up and clap but instead Madden waved his hand yelling "Me, me, me!" as in throw ME the candy. #momfail  Thankfully it was short lived and he figured it out to stopped yelling and clapped instead. 

He was super excited to see Micky and Minnie Mouse, along with Elmo and Snoopy in the parade. A float full of bubbles and people walking with bubble guns were a big hit too, he enjoyed chasing the bubbles to pop them (top right). He had his game face on chasing after candy (bottom left). And little Miss Harper was just chillin taking everything in the entire time. 

Madden's day was made when we ran into the Irish Storm Trooper leaving the parade.
