This book is about friendship, true love and ethics. Written from the perspective of Rachel, a thirty year old single attorney living in New York who has always been a good girl, rule follower and always following in her best friend, Darcy's, shadow. But things change on the night of Rachel's thirtieth birthday when she confesses her feeling to Darcy's fiance, Dex and it turns out he feels that same way. As Darcy and Dex's wedding dates gets closer, Rachel must choose between her heart and her conscience discovering that the lines between right and wrong can be blurry, endings aren't always neat, and sometimes you have to risk everything to be true to yourself.
What I liked about this book was that it got right to the story, no dancing around the plot, by the end of the first chapter it gets right to the drama! Throughout the book your rooting for Rachel who has always been out shined by Darcy who always gets what she wants (the beauty, the body, the PR job, the men), hoping that for once in her life she will stand up to Darcy and fight for what she wants. The best thing, this book has been turned into a movie!! If you haven't seen the trailers for this romantic comedy yet, check them out here. Coming to theaters in only a few more weeks, May 6th. It looks good! I love the theme song too :) I'll definitely will be having Dave take me to it!
