Happy 11 Months Peanut!!
You are one activity little boy!
You don't like to sit still for long. Hence why it took so long to get this months update up and multiple attempts at getting your picture taken. :) When we go out to eat, you'll gladly sit in the highchair to eat but once your done eating you're done being confined to that chair.
You don't officially crawl yet. But you do get up on all fours, rock back and forth like you're about to take off then take about 2-4 steps and belly flop. It's rolling from then on out till you get to where or what you want! You army crawl a lot but you mostly roll EVERYWHERE.
You really like to roll from the carpet to the tile or hardwood because you like the feel of the different textures.....and the different sounds you can make. You like to scratch with your freakishly sharp nails anything and everything to make noises. Or you'll bang a toy against the floor to hear the sounds.
I swear every time we go over to Sean and Annette's you do something new. This month you pushed yourself all the way up from tummy to sitting up in front of everyone, twice in a row. And now will pull yourself up onto your knees. You love to grab onto mommies hands to pull yourself up to your knees and then have mommy pull you all the way up to standing, you just smile and giggle the entire time.
We celebrated your first Memorial Day. It was raining cats and dogs the entire 3 day weekend which was a major bust but we got to spend lots of quality time together as a family. You helped mommy and daddy celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. Grandma and Grandpa came over to play with you so we would enjoy a date night out. We went to the Hebbel family reunion at Wise Guy’s Pizza on your daddy’s side were you got the chance to meet lots of new people who all just loved you…and you got to eat pizza!
We celebrated daddy's first Father's Day!!
We went out to lunch to the Machine Shed with grandma and grandpa. Took a 3 generations picture in front of the John Deere tractor. You helped grandpa Jim open up his gifts and loved playing with all the wrapping paper. We made a cake for grandpa Gary and take cake with ice cream. You even got to try sherbet for the first time and of course you really liked it.

Age: 11 months old
Weight: 22 pounds
Length: 28ish inches
Size: He's still wearing some of his 9 month clothes but there starting to get small. 12 month fits perfect, also wear 6-12M and 12-18 month clothes. Size 4 diapers.
Hair: Light brown, thick and getting longer by the day. On hot and humid days it tends to curl or frizz up a bit in the back.
Eyes: Love those Baby Blues!
Health: Finally kicked that double ear infection praise the Lord! Fought it for well over a month and was on the verge of getting referred to a specialists, lets hope he stays ear infection free for a while.
Teeth: Cut another tooth on the bottom!! This time it was just one instead of two at a time. Now has 5 teeth.
Sleeping: Still a great sleeper and I love him for that! He takes 2 naps each about 1-1.5 hours. Now that it's summer we've been trying to push bedtime back a bit so we can enjoy some of daddy's baseball games and the beautiful warm weather. Sometimes he's still ready for bed early though. This month bedtime is anywhere between 7-8:00pm and sleeps through the night till 6:30am.
Eating: He officially started weaning himself. Only nurses once a day, first thing in the morning, then take 2-3 bottles of breast milk the rest of the day. Eats 3 meals of solids, mainly all finger foods. New foods include watermelon, pumpkin, blueberries, black beans, strawberries, ice cream (thanks to daddy), and sherbet. Favorites are still bananas, sweet potatoes, any type of bread, and yogurt.
Movement: Not yet crawling, army crawls and rolls everywhere he wants to go. Pushes up from tummy to sitting up. Reaches arms out for you to take him out of his car seat or highchair and to pick him up. Will stand for a few short seconds by himself or holding onto something.
Milestones: Army crawling, pushed himself up to sitting from tummy (6-8-13), pushed up to all fours and rocks, pulls self up to knees, lowered crib
Favorite Toys/Activities: Bath time makes everything better...for the time being. He splashes around and goes nuts-o in the water, his legs go a mile a minute kicking all over the place. Playing ball. All types and sizes of balls. He loved rolling them back and forth or trying to throw them. Banging toys to make noise. Music. Swings at the park.
Dislikes: Sitting still for diaper changes!! Holy smokes this kid needs to wrestled or held down by two people to get his diaper changed. You need to be fast! Sitting still to get dressed. Being confined to one spot. Since he hasn't figured out how to crawl yet he gets frustrated when you put a toy away for him to get and he can't reach it.
Words/Sounds: At home or once he warms up to being around people he is a chatterbox. He tries imitating noises and sounds that we make, he studies us really hard and will watch your mouth then try to do the same thing. He says dada and mama all the time but no necessarily for mom or dad. He does nig-nig for ni-night when he's tired though.
Favorite Moments:
We went over to Jordan and Steph's on Stella's birthday for cake and ice cream. Dave thought it would be a good idea to see if MJ would like eat ice cream and like it. So he gave him just one little taste. Someone is sure going to have a sweet tooth like their parents because he wanted more. When I say he wanted more, I mean MJ cried because he wanted more and daddy walked about with his ice cream.
Another favorite moment was watching MJ and his cousin Stella playing together and giving each other kisses. Just the sweetest thing ever!
