Another short and sweet monthly post since I'm way behind...

 

22 Months Old!!!!

Monthly Highlights

• Obsessed with Monster's University!
• Sleep over at grandma and grandpa Dexter's 2 nights in a row
• Loves being outside
• Watched daddy graduate with his Bachelor's degree
• Celebrated Mother's Day
• Visited new parks
• Enjoying lots of walks with Mommy and the dogs
• Celebrated friend Elliot's 2nd birthday
• Likes to eat at his toddler table
• Learned how to open the slider door if it's not locked
• Said he wanted to go potty on the toilet (has yet to do it!)
• Figured out how to open the outside gate, close and lock it
• Broke out the water table
• Auntie Tiffy surprised us with a visit!

How many boys does it take to turn on a grill?

Age: 22 months old
Weight: 30+ pounds
Length: 30+ inches
Size: Size 5 diapers. Wearing mostly all 2T clothes, although I'm still trying to get away with sneaking him in some 18 month pj's and a few 3T shirts.
Hair: Getting a little blonde patch in the back

Health: Overall this kid has been healthy as a horse. There was only one day this past month he must have had a 24 hour bug or something. He was perfectly fine at daycare and when Dave picked him up, by time I got home from work he was super tired and didn't even move off the couch to say hi to me. He went to bed extremely early, didn't hear from him all night long but as soon as he woke up in the morning all he wanted to do was cuddle. He wasn't interested in eating breakfast, drinking his milk, or anything. Just snuggling with mommy and he didn't want down. He never got sick or had anything more than a low grade fever. After an entire day of sleeping and cuddling with mommy, he was good as new.

"All gone"

Sleeping: No complaints here, overall he's still a pretty darn good sleeper still.

Eating: Some days he's a better eater than others. Prefers eating fruit over any vegetables but who isn't? Not a fan of meat unless in chicken nugget form. Loves dairy and has quite the sweet tooth!




Dinner date with Auntie Tiffy

Movement: This crazy kid is all over the place and non stop on the go!

Milestones: Showing interest in the potty! Wanting to sit on it and knowing when he needs to go or has gone but not yet in the potty. He's learned how to push his booster chair against the wall to climb up on it and turn the light switches on and off. Also has learned how to open the gate outside in the yard, can't take your eye off him for a second.

Favorite Toys/Activities: Being outside. Balls. Watching Monster's University, every single day. Watching Frozen at daycare and singing "Let it Go" while spinning around in a circle dancing!!! Playing on playgrounds. His new water table.

Dislikes: Not being able to go outside or having to come inside for the night. The beginning of baths, he no longer is running to get into the tub. Now he cries when it's time for bath and at the beginning but once he's in the water he's usually fine. Getting dressed.

Words: Learning new words everyday, will included a complete list for his 2 year update.

Sounds: Lot of animal noises, will make a complete list for his 2 year update

Favorite Moments

• Madden loves some nakey time after his bath nights. Per the picture above, his favorite seat lately has been on top of daddy while watching Monsters University and drinking milk.
• Watching daddy graduate college!!
• Nightly cuddle sessions winding down from the day by watching Monster's University and snuggling on the couch.
