My little man is officially THREE years old!!

Good Morning Birthday Boy

 Since his birthday fell on a Thursday, both Dave and I took the day off to stay home with him and celebrate. He of course slept in till 8:00am!! I did not. I was up at 6am just waiting for him to get up. A big three year old needs some special birthday decor to wake up too so I blew up a few balloons and crate paper on his door. He was super excited to see them and didn't want to take them down so he arm crawled in and out of his room :)

Dave went to pick up some birthday doughnut holes from Dunkin Donuts. The it was off to Madden's first movie theater experience!

Dave was able to coax Uncle Mike to come up to go see the new Minions movie at 10:30am with us. Grandma and Papa Dexter came too. Madden did awesome! I was so completely shocked at how well he did the entire movie. We shared popcorn and and ICEE (which he loved of course!) and got there right in the middle of the previews. He was in awe of the big screen and the awesome previews to the movies to come which are already on a list to see later this year now! He sat on the edge of his seat through over half of the movie because he was so into the movie. It was very entertaining for all of us!

 We of course needed a picture with the Minions!

After the movie we went over to Red Robin for lunch. Even though Madden ate a fourth of the popcorn and drank three fourths of my ICEE he still almost finished his entire meal along with a birthday hot fudge sundae :) 

Post movie/lunch nap

He eventually passed out halfway home after lunch, which was probably around 3:00pm. I thought for sure he would be out for an hour or so but as soon as we got home he perked right up and remembered there were presents and cake to be had!

By 3 he has this opening presents business down!

Not only can be show you how old he is now but this is also a baseball pitch that Dave is very excited MJ has mastered already. Clearly we know what Dave's birthday wish is for the future for this little guy ;)

I just love this picture of him after we sang Happy Birthday and he blew out the candles, he clasped his hands together and just smiled at the cake 

The rest of the evening was playing with presents, working on his big boy room, bath time, cuddling our three year old up on the couch, and watching a little evening TV before bed. It turned out the be such a great day!!
