DMB

This past week was Adults Weekend!

We left the little man behind, he had his first sleepover with my parents (second overall) so mama and daddy could go out of town with some friends. We drove up to Lake Geneva, WI for the Dave Matthews Band concert in Alpine Valley. Going to see DMB has always been a concert Dave has wanted to see and is on his bucket list. I got the chance to see him in college so it really wasn't a big deal to me anymore but I'm of course going to support my husbands dreams, especially if it benefits me! ;)

We got hooked up with a phenomenal deal by Kelsey's SIL at the resort she use to work at, $40 for the night for both of us, score! Hotels within a 45 minutes radius were going for a minimum of $140/night and some places required a night min. since DMB was playing both Friday and Saturday nights. We left Saturday morning and only stayed the one night. Our resort had an indoor and outdoor pool (both really night), an outdoor bar, a nice restaurant/bar, nice rooms, comfy beds, and a beautiful view of the lake. Not much more you can ask for....especially for 40 bucks baby!

Once we were settled in our room we took ourselves to the outdoor pool for some relaxation, adult beverages and sun!! It felt awesome!

We made our way over to Alpine Valley pretty early and were able to sneak into the Alpine Valley Ski Resort parking lot which had it's own path to the amphitheather, maybe a 5 minute walk. We got there nice and early since we had lawn tickets and found our seats right up front then enjoyed a few drinks in the sun while we waited.  

The weather was absolutely perfect!

 

Dave came out at the very beginning to introduce the opener himself. Very cool!

Once DMB hit the stage they played for 3 hours straight. Took a 10 minute break and then came back out for an encore.

 



 

A perfect end to a holiday weekend!!
