The countdown to Christmas has officially started!
Not the only reason I love Thanksgiving but definitely top on the list :)
MJ and I continued our tradition of watching the Thanksgiving Day parade cuddled up on the couch just like we started last year. Of course daddy was still sleeping in bed just like last year too (must be nice!). And yes I already put our Christmas tree up 2 weeks ago!
MJ was actually really into the parade this year. He even managed to stay up past morning nap time to wait to see Santa, and then it was immediately off to bed.
We spent rest of the afternoon at Dave's parents with both sets of grandparents!
MJ wasn't a huge fan of the awesome Thanksgiving meal, he's definitely already at that picky stage but he did manage to LOVE dessert. Grandma's pumpkin twinkie dessert, what's not to love it's an entire pan of deliciousness!! He even received his first Christmas presents from a pair of the Dexter's friends, the book "Santa is Coming to Iowa", it's a really cute book and he loved open/playing with the paper and box.
Friday morning we headed out to the Festival of Trees downtown with grandma where we saw lots of beautifully decorated Christmas trees of all different themes, gingerbread houses, Christmas displays, and shared a decorated sugar cookie.
MJ loved the choo-choo train display!
He was obsessed. He would flap his arms with excited and yell "choo-choo, choo-choo" So cute! I think he could have watched them all day, there were 4 different train sets going all at once.
Sunday we headed over to my parents for Thanksgiving with his cousins, he loves playing with little Miss Stella.
