Thanksgiving!

Happy Belated Thanksgiving! It has been a very busy week for us. My brother and sister came in town with baby Carter and we were invited over to her sisters house for the afternoon for Thanksgiving. It was a full house with lots of amazing food! Then we were off to Dave's parents house that evening for dinner and more eating. One of our friends got married this weekend as well and Dave was a groomsmen, so we traveled up to Iowa City Friday afternoon for the rehearsal dinner and all the wedding festivities. It was a very LONG weekend, we definitely took advantage of the 12pm checkout at the hotel Sunday and didn't check out a minute earlier.

Last weekend we put up our Christmas tree, hung all the outside lights, and put up the Christmas village. Yes I'm on to Christmas already, it's my favorite time of year! Plus with the weather being so nice, I couldn't pass up the chance to get everything up outside before it started to get cold again. And once the lights outside were up, I couldn't have the fall decor up with the Christmas decor so I opted to put all my Fall decor away a week early and enjoy Christmas a bit longer. Dave inherited his grandmothers Christmas village when she passed away 2 years ago and now that we actually have room in our house to put it somewhere we spent like 3 hours setting it up and putting it together.
